Student Veterinary Emergency Critical Care Society (SVECCS) and Zoetis presents "From Burnout to Breakthrough" with Dr. Amy Grimm.

Dr. Amy Grimm is a local veterinary life coach who will be sharing with us how to prevent and push past burnout to reach a stress-free life. See here from an excerpt from this talk: "I reached a point in my veterinary career where I almost quit. Fueled by frustration and stress, I found myself on the precipice of walking out of the hospital and never coming back. Had I done so, I would have become another statistic. Yet another disillusioned veterinarian voluntarily resigning during a time when we need doctors most. Another victim of burnout. But I didn’t. Instead, I woke up one day and decided to view those feelings as an intentional signal from myself, telling me that I was ready to grow again. I had an opportunity to transform my life into something better. To choose every day to show up in a way that would move the needle of my life experience towards alignment and fulfillment. Coaching and mindset work truly saved my life and career. So much in fact, that I knew I had to share this work with others. And that is what I do today. Our emotional and mental health are invaluable. Yet they are frequently deprioritized in our busy lives and schedules. If we want to show up as the best doctors and advocates for our patients, and create sustainable healthy careers, we have to place our well-being and mental health first. And we do this through building emotional strength and mental resilience. A healthy life requires a healthy mindset. And it all starts with your nervous system.
