Game Days will cause traffic congestion in the area. Please take the UC Davis Exit (71) from I-80 to minimize delays. See "Game Day Directions" on the light blue right side bar for Google map links from the exit to the parking lots.

Small Animals

Small animal emergency service are available 24/7 for cats and dogs. In order to provide the highest quality of emergency care and minimize wait times during the current overwhelming demand, the Emergency Room may have to temporarily close or limit admissions to new cases on occasion. Please call 530-752-1393 before bringing your pet into the clinic so we may best help you assess your emergency.

Large Animals

Large animal emergency services are available 24/7 for horses and livestock. As veterinarians are on-call for emergencies overnight and on weekends/holidays, it is important to call ahead (530-752-0290) to speak with a clinician before coming into the Large Animal Clinic. This advance notice allows us to be prepared for you and your animal when you arrive. Upon arrival, use the Emergency call box at the Large Animal Clinic lobby entrance to alert our staff you are here.

Exotic Companion Animals

To better serve our clients and the greater community, the Companion Exotic Animal Medicine & Surgery Service has established a dedicated emergency team that is available for emergency cases during normal business hours. Currently, the service is able to provide emergency care on weekdays from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and on weekends/holidays from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Prior to coming, please call 530-752-1393 to discuss your animal's condition with the clinician on emergency duty.
