Since earning her DVM from Iowa State University, she has worked in family medicine and emergency medicine at several specialty hospitals, including UC Davis Veterinary Teaching Hospital, VCA Referral Center, and Vista Veterinary Specialists. She has seen the best and worst of this profession— the lifesaving moments, the heartbreak, the burnout, and the financial realities vet schools rarely talk about.
