Zooming from flower to flower in a flash of iridescent green and fuchsia pink, the Anna’s hummingbird seems to be one of California’s wildlife success stories. Native to Southern California, the tiny fliers are now common throughout the state and seen on snowy branches in Alaska and cacti in Arizona.
Several health professionals from UC Davis, including Drs. Kent Pinkerton and Kathryn Conlon, contributed to a newly released guide for health professionals on climate change and respiratory health.
The school celebrated its inaugural Global Programs Day with a lunch seminar addressing climate change and an evening presentation by students who completed summer externships and fellowships around the world.
