In an effort to synergize inter-disciplinary clinical and translational research, UC Davis is committed to using innovative research tools and information technologies to promote collaboration within the bench-to-bedside-to-population spectrum of science. This expertise portal is a key component of UC Davis's mission to catalyze the application of new knowledge and techniques to clinical practice at the front lines of patient care.

Who is listed in UC Davis Profiles?
  • UC Davis Profiles was created for research networking and initially focused on adding UC Davis faculty members, researchers with academic leadership appointments, and non-faculty academic researchers.
  • Research activities and funding come from NIH ExPORTER, other grants may be added.
  • Published articles available in PubMed are listed automatically, other publications may be added.
  • There is also the opportunity to include research staff and other individuals in the UC Davis community, on request and if possible. Send requests, with full name and employee ID, to profiles@ucdavis.edu
Who manages UC Davis Profiles?
  • UC Davis Profiles is managed by the UCSF Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), part of the Clinical and Translational Science Award program funded by the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (Grant Number UL1 TR000004) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Aggie Experts

Aggie Experts, a UC Davis expertise discovery platform, is a Provost-sponsored project that supports Goal 2 of the UC Davis strategic plan to enable and support research that matters at the frontiers of knowledge, across and between the disciplines by creating a support system to help campus researchers recognize new possibilities for collaboration and initiate partnerships.

  • What Data Sources are Used?
  • Members of Academic Senate and Academic Federation are included
  • Uses the UC Davis identity management system for the scholar’s name, title and unit affiliation.
  • Researchers can change that information in the campus directory listing.
  • Grant information is retrieved from the University of California’s data warehouse.
  • Publications metadata is based on scholars’ claims of publications in support of the UC Open Access Policy.
  • As with all profiles in Aggie Experts, it is recommend to check your information to see if all desired publications are appearing.
  • To help the algorithm capture your scholarship as fully as possible, make sure to add your ORCID ID (or other identifiers).
  • As a reminder, Aggie Experts draws these identifiers from the UC Publication Management System, so please, add them there.
