Please join Dr. Amy Kafer and NVA on Wednesday, February 19th, in Valley 1020 during lunch for a talk on How to Care for Animals with Fire Trauma: Triage, Stabilization, and Preparing for ER Treatment! We will go over a few cases of fire related trauma and how to treat your patients. We will also touch upon when you get a case that needs to be referred to an ER/referral hospital and how to stabilize your patient before transit!

Amy attended Iowa State University for both her undergraduate and veterinary degrees. As a youngster, she was busy on the family farm, raising horses, cattle and all kinds of small animals. After graduation, Amy began an equine veterinary internship. She as experience in both equine and small animal practice with a certificate in veterinary acupuncture and chiropractic training. She now works for NVA as a GP mentor, assisting new grads in CA, NV, UT, and WA.
